He is awarded as the “Most Promising Neurosurgeon in Maharashtra — 2016” by Times Group for eminent work in rural India. He was also one of the finalist in Torrent Young Neurosurgeons Scholar Award at the All India Level.
Nationally recognized as an innovator, he has given multiple scientific publications such as “SDH in Bleeding Diathesis — A Management protocol” in Indian Journal of Surgery. (April 2016 Edition) and ‘Wein Transposition Fistulae, The St. John’s Experience” in Indian Journal of Organ Transplantation (2008 Edition).

Area of Expertise

Neuroendoscopy — to access the brain through o coin sized hole in the skull or nose, to remove tumours with minimal complications, risk, pain & scarring. He has a fellowship in Neuroendoscopy from the NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, 2017.
Minimally invasive spine surgery — He has attended Hands-on training at a Cadaveric workshop at the renowned MS Ramaiah Institute, 2017.
Functional Neurosurgery encompassing Epilepsy surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) — for movement disorders Parkinsonism, Dystonia, Essential Tremors and also for obsessive—compulsive disorder.
Vascular Neurosurgery including stroke surgery, intracerebral bleed (Brain Hemorrhage), aneurysm , AV malformation, endovascular and open techniques.
Neuro — oncology including all kinds malignant and benign brain tumours in both adults and pediatrics.
Stereotactic neurosurgery — having focused keyhole biopsy and surgery for deep brain and brainstem tumours.

Work Experience

With his insightful exposure across various Medical Services, Disease Management, Research and Neurological Treatments, he was earlier leading as Consultant and Head Neurosurgery Department at City Care Trust Hospital in Ahmednagar. His key roles comprised of handling all neurosurgical emergencies and elective neurosurgical cases as well as managing all preop and postop neurosurgical cases. He also delivered his medical expertise at St. John’s Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore (parent institute) as an Assistant Professor Neurosurgery.
